Community Chaplain of America Provides Care to Festival Attendees

 

WHAT:

Community Chaplains of America representative provides a listening ear and care to Bonnaroo Music + Arts Festival attendees

 

WHO:

Ann German, a trained and recognized chaplain through Community Chaplains of America. German currently serves as a community chaplain in a correctional facility in Tennessee and served as a member of the Community Chaplains of America Crisis Response Team during the deadly West Tennessee tornadoes in February

DETAILS:

German has served as a volunteer at Bonnaroo for the past few years through the Tennessee Baptist Convention but will also be serving this year for the first time as a Community Chaplains of America representative. Through Community Chaplains of America, German is trained to provide care in a variety of circumstances including suicide, substance abuse, legal issues, evangelism, marriage and divorce, financial crises, jails and detention centers, critical incidents, grief and hospital care.

 

Community Chaplains of America trains people to provide genuine physical, emotional, spiritual and personal care in their communities where they work, rest and play. The accreditation process includes 84 hours of study through an Empowerment Kit with education books, interactive workbooks and CDs and official commissioning from a local church body. The program was founded by Corporate Chaplains of America, which has been providing genuine caring in the workplace for more than a decade.
